First Steps for New Believers— Obeying the Commands of the Lord Jesus

Like a new baby breathes his first breath, the life of faith is begun in prayer of repentance and faith. Then, like a new infant, the new believer should soon be hungry for spiritual food. The Word of God is our spiritual food. Many are simply told to “read the Gospel of John;” but there is so much to learn for the new believer.

When I was saved, I would have loved to have had all of the commands of Christ very simply arranged for a new disciple—and someone who was already far down the path of obedience to help me as I took my first steps. The New Testament says that as we “make disciples” we are to baptize them and teach them to observe Christ’s commands.

This short book contains the commands of Christ in a practical arrangement for new Christians. It is my hope that it will help many as they begin the journey along the path of obedience and growth in discipleship that leads to full joy.
Jesus is Lord!

WITH A GIFT OF ANY AMOUNT

You are not meant to walk alone.

Each day approximately twenty veterans end their lives by their own hands.  In 2018 more servicemembers took their own lives than ever before.  It has to stop!

Whether you’ve identified with the Marine or the Army Ranger, you know what it feels like to be vulnerable to suicide, just ending it all.  You know the pain.  You know the sense of hopelessness and despair, that desperate feeling of being alone in misery, that suffocating feeling of drowning in sadness, guilt, or shame.

But listen up.  Sometimes we lose our way.  We make a wrong turn or fall off the path.  We trip over a tree root or stumble over a rock.  But that doesn’t have to lead to a bad end like suicide.  What am I saying?  There’s a better way, a Path of Life, lit by the wisdom found in God’s Word and guided by its Author.  God’s Word serves as your compass.  It will not only lead you in the right direction but also keep you on the path, the Path of Life.

Available when you support this ministry.

Kingdom of God in Focus

This book is available as an imediate download in “PDF” format.

For the maturing Christian to keep our focus on the finish line.

Cameras, binoculars, microscopes, telescopes… they all use knobs, buttons, or wheels of some sort to help the operator dial the object into focus. If it was only as simple for intangible, theological concepts. How blurry is your “visualization of concept” when you read or hear the phrase “Kingdom of God”?

My prayer and my hope for you in writing this book is that chapter by chapter, through eyes of faith, your vision of the coming Kingdom of God will come into crystal clear focus. As it does, my prayer is that your excitement and anticipation of the full realization of His second coming and of His Kingdom will grow and motivate you to holy living, and to tell others about the Lord Jesus, our coming King.
