“Then I said to them, “If it seems good to you, give me my wages; but if not, keep them.” And they weighed out as my wages thirty pieces of silver.”

Daily Devotional
December 19th
The prophet Zechariah foretold the account of our Lord Jesus and that He would be given over for thirty pieces of silver. This is what Jesus was worth to Judas who betrayed our Lord. The price of a slave.
We work to protect and take care of our families and loved ones. This is an honorable thing, it is a good thing. He is our example of honorable work. Psalm 113
This world measures our worth by our monetary value. Bloomberg.com listed the top three richest people as Larry Ellison worth 259 billion dollars, Larry Page, 270 billion dollars and Elon Musk’s worth is 482.5 billion dollars.
All the riches of our Lord was given up, so we could have hope in the salvation given to us by Jesus.
“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.” 2 Corinthians 8:9 (KJV)
What are you worth? What does God say you are worth? Your soul is worth more than all the riches of the world could possibly offer.
”For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” Matthew 16:26 (KJV)
His gift to you, He gave everything for you.
What will you give to Him this Christmas?
Psalms 113
Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD,
praise the name of the LORD.
2 Blessed be the name of the LORD
from this time forth and for evermore.
3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same
the LORD’s name is to be praised.
4 The LORD is high above all nations,
and his glory above the heavens.
5 Who is like unto the LORD our God,
who dwelleth on high,
6 Who humbleth himself to behold
the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!
7 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust,
and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;
8 That he may set him with princes,
even with the princes of his people.
9 He maketh the barren woman to keep house,
and to be a joyful mother of children.
Praise ye the LORD.
