God tells us that Satan is in rebellion and He will face judgement. (Ezekiel 28:14-16)
God tells us that we are either children of God or children of the devil (1 John 3:10)
God tells us that no one is good. (Romans 3:23)
God tells us that He is merciful and will hold the wicked accountable (Exodus 34:6-7)
A holy God will not and cannot lie. He must keep His promises.
So if God is Holy and perfect and He demands perfection according to His holy law, How can we be “right” with God?
Our infinite, all knowing, all powerful and loving God knew we could not be perfect. So He sent His only begotten son. He lived the perfect life we could not. Jesus paid our debt the Father didn’t want us to pay. The perfect, spotless lamb. This is how we are justified. Not by our righteousness.
By the righteousness of Jesus. (Isaiah 61:1-3)
Ezekiel 28:14-16
Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. 16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

Exodus 34:6-7
And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, 7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

Isaiah 61:1-2
he Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me;
because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek;
he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD,
and the day of vengeance of our God;
to comfort all that mourn;
