The Old Testament scriptures are a shadow of the coming King of kings, the afflicted One, the man of sorrows, scapegoat and sacrifice.  The High priest.  The mediator between God and man.

 God sent us His Son to die, for us.

Isaiah 53:10 “Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.”

“He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.” Isaiah 53:11

“For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.  And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.”
Luke 22:37-38

 

“because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 (ESV)

From the beginning, God the creator and sustainer has a plan for you.  He knows you, He loves you.  He sent His only Son for you.  All of the scripture points to your saviour.

It’s all about Jesus.
