Psalms 32

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

²  Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity,

And in whose spirit there is no guile.

³  When I kept silence, my bones waxed old

Through my roaring all the day long.

⁴  For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me:

My moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.

⁵  I acknowledged my sin unto thee,

And mine iniquity have I not hid.

I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord;

And thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

⁶  For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee ^†in a time when thou mayest be found:

Surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.

⁷  Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble;

Thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

⁸  I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:

I will guide thee with mine eye.

⁹  Be ye not as the horse,

Or as the mule, which have no understanding:

Whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle,

Lest they come near unto thee.

¹⁰  Many sorrows shall be to the wicked:

But he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall compass him about.

¹¹  Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous:

And shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

Romans 3:21-28

But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by ^lthe law and ^mthe prophets; ²² Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: ²³ For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; ²⁴ Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: ²⁵ Whom God hath ^sset forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; ²⁶ To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. ²⁷ Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. ²⁸ Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Romans 5:1-2

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: ² By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Isaiah 53:12

Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great,

And he shall divide the spoil with the strong;

Because he hath poured out his soul unto death:

And he was numbered with the transgressors;

And he bare the sin of many,

And made intercession for the transgressors.

Romans 5:5-11

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. ⁶ For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. ⁷ For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. ⁸ But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. ⁹ Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. ¹⁰ For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. ¹¹ And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
